From Concept to Championship – Adam Scott’s Futura X Prototype
Masters champion and Titleist Brand Ambassador Adam Scott has been playing Scotty Cameron putters for over a decade. After numerous trips to the Putter Studio, he and Scotty came up with exactly what he needed in his quest to find the perfect putter for his setup.
After several rounds of design, Scotty crafted the Futura X Prototype especially for Adam. A one-of-a-kind putter for a one-of-a-kind player. It provides the high MOI (Moment of Inertia) and path that Adam was seeking. While the design of the putter creates a high MOI, Scotty took the putter one step further by adding more stability to the face with perimeter weighting. High MOI combined with perimeter weighting gives this putter a very unique feel and performance.
The putter is milled from aluminum and includes a balance bar and four tungsten weights that are positioned under four adjustable stainless steel weights in the far four corners of the putter for maximum MOI. The putter is 49″ in length, has a 79* lie angle and 3* of loft. The finish is called “Frozen Titanium” and helps knock down glare.

Hiroyuki “Bikke” Fujita, who was the 2012 money leader on the Japan Golf Tour and is currently World Number 46, stopped by to get in some work under the lights on his Road to the Masters United States tour. GRINDER What is he? Who is he? A Grinder is like a Junk Yard Dog. Someone who just will not quit. He gets up and down from anywhere. Makes the tough putts that count. He’s got that dogged determination and will to win. He never gives up! He’s a Grinder. So, in that spirit, Scotty designed this character to give Custom Shop fans a way to express their inner Grinder with a headcover, stamp and cool, new engraved weights.
HEADCOVERS With a black and white option available, you’ll be able to add either of the new 2012 Limited Release Dancing Grinder headcovers to any Custom Shop order placed through December 31, 2012.
GRIPS Six new Pistolero grips are available in some wild new fun colors. The Pistolero is the grip shape that Scotty put on the Calfornia putter line. With its palm-fitting form, players simply love this grip. Now, you can choose from Blue by You, Bubble Gum Pink, Sublime Lime, Peel Out Purple, Orange Peel or White Lightning. You can also stick with the original black if you like, or any of the other great grips in the Custom Shop.
SHAFT RING Scotty’s aluminum milled shaft ring adds an extra special touch to any putter. If you do opt for a shaft ring, we require a new grip purchase to install this brilliant new item. Why such an intricate new accessory? Simply because it’s cool.

WOW! Who would have thought that after 5 years the Canadian Cameron Convention would not just be going strong, but also continuing to grow? Well, the 5th year is in the books and it just keeps getting better and better. I want to thank Scotty, everyone at the Studio and everyone who attended for helping make this year’s CCC really special. It’s not too often you can play golf, see some awesome putters, see old friends again and meet new ones all in one place. Not to mention introducing the most recent beneficiary of the Cameron Kids program and raising some money for a really good cause and a really good friend.
Thanks to everyone for making the first 5 years of CCC a lot of fun. I can’t wait for the next 5 years !
