1 of 1 Hand-Painted Modern Super Fly Headcover
August 17th, 2009

When I was designing the Modern Super Fly black headcover released last Tuesday to Club Cameron Members in the Studio Store on ScottyCameron.com, I went through a few prototypes. Reason being, I had this fly fishing theme going and I wanted the colors of the flies to be more vibrant and alive. So, I took a prototype down to the Custom Shop and painted it to be what I wanted. I then had our embroidery house make 1,004 based on my hand-painted version.
To add some spice to the release, I threw my original hand-painted version randomly into the mix as the 2,009th headcover. I wonder where it’s found its new home and who the owner is, because it’s truly one-of-a-kind. If it shows up in your shipment, drop me a note here on the Blog.

Mine is the normal one, but very very very cool. Thanks.
Love the new PGA Championship headcovers. The uniqueness is overwhelming with your tradition of quality. Im sorry to say that I did not get the 1 of 1 but maybe next time!!! Keep up the “OUTSTANDING” hard work!! Cant wait for the new LAS VEGAS HC to come out!!
Thanks, Loyal Scotty Cameron Collector and User

Wow. Best one-off cover, truly unique. Great idea, Mr. Cameron.
Nice 1 of 1 cover Scotty! I was not lucky but I hope someone on TCC is the lucky new owner:-)
Kris
P.S: There’s a little something on the way to the Studio… takes ~10days
scotty:
apparently, it has found a new home with a Newbie member of the TCC!!!
the story is just unfolding as I write this. He even says that you personalized the hand-painted cover with your signature and some doodles.
he seems VERY excited to say the least .
Another EXCELLENT idea from the Master…Scotty…:)

Truly in shock! I received it this afternoon and thought it looked kind of strange with the painted flys. I never saw this on the blog and then I saw the underside. 1 of 1! “Hand Painted” Scott Cameron! Awesome. Thanks so much Scotty! It has found a good home here in Illinois. Take care and best of luck!

Congrats, Mark! I realize it’s been sold, and all I can say is “wow!”. For those of you wondering how I feel about this ending up for sale, it’s ok. The headcover stays in the “family” and adds fuel to the passion for collecting.
All the best!
Scotty
Sad to say it wasn’t me that got the 1 of 1. I did get both of the new covers and they look great.
Well, it appears that Mark is selling the prized headcover on ebay – it’s up to $3,000.
Scotty, surely you’re aware it was sold, but here’s to hoping you’ll comment on the finding and the selling of this piece of art!
Hopefully you’ll not be too discouraged to do something similar in the future.
Take care!
Jim
The only reason he is selling it is because he recently had his whole golf bag stolen from the mandatory bag drop at one of his local private courses. He took them to small claims court to no avail. If you want to read the full story, check it out here:

I think the guy deserves a bit of a break. This headcover showing up was likely Karma giving him a chance to reclaim his losses.
Things Cameron creates that are this special usually find their way into the hands of people that appreciate the creativity, sadly enough – money talks. I’m sure it found a good home.
This is what makes Cameron collecting so much fun!
