Mr. Cameron,

I have a question for u if u don’t mind.. Im probably going to call the custom shop tomorow but I got one of your newport two test sample putters where Im living in Monterey and have a couple of questions about it. This putter is identical to the one in one of your slide shows a couple of months back. First of all, what is the story on these putters? were they given to pros to sample before production? Secondly, The putter is a 340 gram 34 inch putter. I had to have it 35 inches so I added a piece of another shaft to the end of the original shaft… Did this screw up the balance of the putter? Can I have the putter sent to the custom shop to optimize the swigweight of D4-D6 for 25 inch models somehow? Thank you very much and I look forward to hearing from you or one of your assisntants.

BTW, I recently saw a sweet tour only cirlce T square that appeared to be completely face balanced while looping at Cypress Point. The Man in our group said he is a friend of yours and was personally given to you….Anyway very nice man Im embarrased that I have forgotten his name.

All the best and thank you, Chris

Adding a piece of shaft to an existing shaft is def. one way to do it. Not what I would recommend at all, though. We can get you set up to go in the Custom Shop with weighting and the shaft length you’re looking for. As for Test Sample putters, they are just that…Test Samples before the actual putter goes into production. Some go to pros to test, etc.

Take care,
Scotty

Looking for a new blade putter to replace my Detour- Love the feel of the steel with the aluminum insert and I saw you have an xperimental prototype with this configuration in the holiday 2008 model. I was wondering if you plan to go into production with this model?

At the moment, no. But I can tell you that the Holiday 2008 model feels really soft. Love that inlay. You may have to track one down for yourself. I highly recommend it.

Take care,
SC

Wow! My daughter has a Studion Select Newport and this is exactly what I was looking for to pimp her putter! I also wanted to add stamps to the left and right bumps. Can this be done?

thanks,
Scott

Are there going to be some new custom shop options anytime soon? All the orig custom shop covers are now on ebay along with their pull off grips & shaft bands. I’ve got a beaut Napa that I’m waiting for something special to dress up in…
