Titleist Brand Ambassador Nick Watney credits his win yesterday in part to his confidence putting. He trusted the same Newport Tour putter he relied on to secure his first win in 2007 at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans. Read more in this article from today’s San Diego Union-Tribune.

How about doing a limited putter in 2009, Newport style, carbon steel, black oxide finish, with white paint fill? It’s the Classic look, and that close up of Nick’s putter right before he made that long putt illustrated how nice that look is!
