New Custom Shop Options

October 6th, 2008

It’s here. We have a new Limited Leather Hula Loops headcover in the Custom Shop. It will be available until the end of the year, is made of full grain leather, and it feels even better than it looks. Also, we have the famous Peel Out Purple Custom Shop grips back for a short time in the Custom Shop if you’d like to accessorize your putter with Hula Loops and purple.

Speaking of purple…Did you see our new Candy Apple Colors, Cosmic Grape and Solar Squeeze? They are super cool and can be added to any Studio Select model. If you are sending in a Studio Select and want your putter decked out in either of these colors, the same restrictions apply as with red, green and blue translucent paint. You can read all about that on the Custom Shop order form under the Studio Select options.

Cosmic Grape

Solar Squeeze

Remember, the Hula Loops leather headcover will only be available until the end of the year. If you snooze, you will lose!

Scotty, I’d like to say that the Loops cover is the finest (IMO) yet!
Can’t wait to put one on a Squareback!
Thanks,
Jim

I gotta say, you’ve done it again Scotty! What a classy headcover!

Cant wait to send my Studio Select Newport in for the custom treatment!

Thanks

Will

PS: if you send your putter into the Custom Shop, do you always put a new shaftband on the putter if you order a new grip and headcover?

Scotty wrote on October 8, 2008 at 6:03 pm

Not always. If it’s in good shape, we leave it alone. We do replace worn, torn or missing shaftbands, though.

Hi Scotty!

I would want to get my Circa 62 no.5 pimped. Is it possible to get a Pro platinum coating and some Initials on the putter, or my whole name down the flange, if you know what I mean?
Could I just leave the putter into your hands and you could do your magic with it?, just go wild!

I really like the looks of the putter but would really want a Custom Shop Putter!!

Thanks in advance!!

Mika

We can definitely restore your Circa in Pro Platinum and put your initials on the toe face. We can’t stamp your name on the back of that putter. And, if you like, put in the Special Instructions box to go wild with the paintfill, and we’ll make it look great.
Thanks,
Scotty

Hi Scotty, just wanted to say hello from UK and ask you a simple question about authentication.
I already have one putter registered (my sons , you may remember , it was a couple of years ago and he sent you a xmas card and what you sent back was truly superb, rare headcover, it still takes pride of place in his bedroom) well our collection of all things Scotty has certainly grown since that first putter, he now has a custom (heavy) select, which will be coming to you soon for a ‘lime’ makeover.
I have also been lucky enough to purchase a couple of rarer putters , a circle t and an ICC 2008 putter, both have AOC and i wondered if i need to inform you that i now own them?…does your registry tie COA’s with people and their adresses?..
well hopefully you will find time to answer, once again, thank you for all the happy hours you have given us, collecting and playing your works of art, will try to send a picture or two of the collection.
Jeff & James (UK)

The COA is intended to certify the putter’s authenticity, not ownership. So, enjoy those and thanks for checking in.

Hi Scotty,

Love the looks and feel of BB LE. Can you guys make my BB
shorter to 33″ and do you have to change the weight and make it heavier to 20 g instead of 15 g? Would it be the same feel?

Thanks
Juan

Scotty wrote on October 20, 2008 at 2:18 pm

We can definitely reduce the length and add heavier weights in the Custom Shop. It will be balanced at the new length. It won’t be the exact same feel, but it will feel great.

All the best,
Scotty

Just a questin. Would like to purchase a Newport 2 Studio (inset face) witth 35 inch shaft but have not been able to find one . Do they come with 35 inch shaft and are they balanced likedyour other putters.

Scotty wrote on November 6, 2008 at 12:19 pm

The Studio Style line (with insert) came in 35″ lengths. There should be some out there in the retail and/or collectors market. Try hitting up the folks at http://www.cameroncollector.com.

Best of luck,
Scotty

Hi Scotty,

You guys took my studio 1.5 changed the color to Translucent Green, placed a 4-leaf clover on the middle dot, placed my initials on the toe bumber, added 2 topside sight lines and replaced the grip with a black Baby-T. To you and your team I want to say ……………………..WOW !!!

The putter is beautiful and done with obvious 1st class comitment to detail. I thank you and your team.

On the down side, everyone I play with now is so concentrated on my putts with my Scotty it has given me a complex. But ill get past that (its only the space between my ears, right?).

Funny thing is in one round, I asked the guys to step off the green and I made 3 one putt holes from (approx.)8ft, 15ft and 25ft. Tell me that is something other the the space between my ears. HA HA !!!

Take care,
Marcus

Hey Scotty:

Do you have a list of the paint fill colors on the site or can you provide one? I have looked all over the site, but couldn’t find it. Thank you.

Scotty, I’m planning on sending my Studio Select Newport 2 Mid Slant in for a customization soon. I couldn’t be more satisfied and I love the putter very much. If I remove the shaft band and the grip myself, is that alright? Because i would like to keep the grip and get one of the custom shop shaft bands that matches the grips.
Thanks and keep on being the MAN!!!
Eric

Scotty wrote on November 6, 2008 at 12:14 pm

Sure. You can even send in just the head to save on shipping. With a re-shaft/re-grip, we’ll put a new shaft band on. Thanks for your support.

Just purchased a Circa 62 #2. There is not a traditional shaft band on it. It is white with nothing filled in for length, loft lie, sw. Also says Scotty Cameron Putters for Tour Use only with a red T circled. No other markings or serial numbers. Is there a way that I can tell if it is authentic?

Thanks,
Ronnie

Scotty wrote on November 10, 2008 at 3:23 pm

You can always send in your putter for a Certificate of Authenticity: http://www.scottycameron.com/authentication/default.asp.

Take care,
Scotty

Scotty, Is there a difference between the original 1997 Teryllium putters that have the white insert showing versus ones without – feel, ball feedback and desirability.

Thanks, Brad

Scotty,
I have just bought my first Cameron putter (Fastback No. 1). I am on my second set of Titleist irons and also my second Titleist driver. I am trying to decide what colors to pimp my Fastback with and I thought the Translucent blue and new cosmic grape would look great combined. Is it possible to combine translucent paints?

Thanks,

Mike

Scotty wrote on March 26, 2009 at 1:43 pm

We won’t mix them together, but if you’re sending in your putter to the Custom Shop, you could request both colors and we will use them on your putter. For instance, both outside cherry dots could be blue, with the center painted purple. Or, vice versa. Indicate your preference in the Special Instructions box. Thanks!

Scotty, I am looking to buy a circa 62 #2, just wondering if all the circa 62 models were made
with the serial code stamped under the grip. I want to make sure what I am buying us authentic and I have read this is one if the best ways to check. Love your work keep it up!

Scotty,
First and foremost, your designs are some of the most inspiring works of art known to man…so much that there should be an art genre named “Scotty Cameron”! I am beginner to the game as I started playing last year and I have been doing well. I broke 90 for the first time, shooting a career low 82. Anyway, when I stand over a putt, I try to think of things that inspire confidence and promote tempo. Well, I am a pianist who specializes in jazz, which is full of rhythm and tempo. I just recently purchased a Studio Style 2.5 and I plan on sending in in for customization. As things near and dear to your heart inspire you, jazz inspires me and I often play back my favorite song as I putt since it has a distinct tempo. So, I plan on getting black and white customization on the putter and I was wondering if you will ever design a white putter grip and a black and white headcover like the custom shop select headcovers…like with the circles filled in with white stitching? I think that it would be very cool…especially the white grip. Thanks again for all of your labor and inspiration that you provide to golfers despite experience and handicaps…lol!

I live in the UK , can i send my putter to you for a custom job ? it’s just that on your custom website it says that you currently don’t accept internationl orders. I just wanted to check that that was correct.

Steven from UK

Scotty wrote on November 23, 2009 at 12:10 pm

We can accept international orders, but you must have a credit card that is accepted by our website. Please contact the Custom Shop to discuss your options: customshop@acushnetgolf.com.
Thanks,
Scotty

Hi, I’d like to send my putter from Puerto Rico to the Custom Shop.
I need to know if PR is accepted by your website.

Also what options can a Studio Style may get?
I see the Studio Select has a lot of options.

Thanks

PS: My studio style will be saved now for display purposes along with a Pro Platinum I have, since I just got a new Fastback 1.
