Custom Shop Beauties!

May 12th, 2008

With the new Studio Select options available in the Custom Shop, we’ve performed some great customizations lately. Just wanted to show you some of the cool work being done here at the Putter Studio. Click on the image below to see the slideshow. Maybe you’ll get some ideas for the next putter you send to the Custom Shop. Enjoy!

Very cool. I always look forward to the blog updates.
I wanted to ask a Custom Shop question. Is it possible to add sight lines to my Scotty Cameron Circa ’62 No. 1?
Thanks from Texas.

Hi Kevin,
We won’t remove the sight circle on the topline of that putter because it’s a production marking, and we can’t add a sight line in the back due to the angle. Thanks for checking in on the blog.

Scotty,
I’m a Cameron putter FREAK. Thanks for all that you do.

Among others, I have 2 Caliente Grand putters.

Any advise on how or where to restore them?

We can’t restore those putters, but we can re-grip and re-shaft them.

These are awesome Scotty! I wanted to ask you about a putter that I think you made, I recently caddied for a tournament at my country club and the pro knew what a big fan I am of yours and gave me a putter that he said you made as a prototype. It’s marked, INSIGHT TEST MODEL on the sole and has Titleist script in a semi-circle around the base…half of the script titleist is gone…it is a mallet putter and 35 in with a pebble grip and platinum shaftband…just wanted to know if you made it, it’s kinda knicked up, and I’d love to have you work on it sometime if thats possible.
Thanks!!

It would be tough to tell without seeing the putter, Jordan. I’d suggest sending it in for a COA.

Take care,
Scotty

Scotty,

Will you be making an appearance in Louisville at Valhalla for the Ryder Cup? If so, I’ll be looking for you.

Your biggest fan in Derby town…

p.s. Have a Fastback or Squareback ready!

Can you custom order a putter direct, as opposed to having to purchase then send back to you for custom work?

Hi Scotty,
In 2006 i researched for 3 months and finally decided on the American Classics III Flange. LOVE this putter. I have it for a year and a half now and i’m averaging 30 putts a round.

But back on topic, can my buddy be custom shop’d? I’m only seeing studio selects and newports and the like.

Thank you for your art, and love, of putting.

Hey Scotty, i am considering getting a new fastback and sending it in to the custom shop to get the full turbo blue done all over… but i have a few questions.
1. Can i buy the fastback from titleist and have them send it straight to u?… or something like that to expedite delivery/ save on shipping
2. I would like the line on the top of the club to flow with the mark on my ball, is it possible for you to paintfill the top line/lines as well?
3. the scotty dog design (like the one at the top of this page) is very cool and i do not wish to get my name engraved, is it possible to get one engraved somewhere on my club? (the face maybe?)
4 i will also be adding the turbo blue head cover… this one is even more of a stretch… but could i get my name sown/engraved/written on that?

Scotty wrote on February 23, 2009 at 1:36 pm

1. Yes, but you have to contact your local Titleist shop to do this.
2. Yes.
3. No.
4. No.

Thanks for writing in. If you have any other questions, please contact the Custom Shop.

All the best,
Scotty

I saw a “semi mallet” Scotty a few years ago. I did not buy it and have regretted it ever since. I do not even know the model except it was a Studio. It looked like a Newport but it had a slight tail on it but not as big as a regular mallet. I searched the PGA value guide but could not locate. I saw it around 2005. Any suggestions as to which model it could be? Thanks.
