Friend of the Putter Studio and all Cameron Collectors who’ve been fortunate enough to meet him, Alberto Velez made his first hole-in-one this past weekend on the 8th at Ojai Valley Inn & Spa. He thought he flew the green on this par 3 only to find his ball sitting pretty in the cup. Congrats, Alberto!

I love terms the guys come up with to describe things. For instance, I’ve heard the putter pictured below described as “Sick & Ridiculous”…and that’s a good thing! Anyway, we’ve got a new batch of photos from Tour live on ScottyCameron.com. Head over to see the rest of this “sick and ridiculous” beauty below. We’ll post more photos as they come in. Thanks for stopping by the Blog.

My good buddy Georges Daou and I played well enough at my club last weekend to take the trophy at our member/member tournament. The competition was intense, but also a lot of fun. I’ve always said that when you’re playing for a trophy, the pressure is applied to the fullest. Nothing like friendly competition and bragging rights to make victory that much sweeter.

I had a nice surprise at the Custom Shop this week when the very first production putter I ever made showed up at the Putter Studio for restoration. Back in 1991, I received what I like to call a “pity order” from Fry’s Warehouse of Golf in San Francisco.
I made 700 of this model, each individually engraved with the serial number on the toe. This one, the first, needs a little TLC. I think it will look great after its restoration. I’ll post the follow-up shots when we’re done.

Just to make things a little more interesting last week, I decided to throw one white Augusta Azalea headcover into the Studio Store release. I’m happy to report that a lucky Club Cameron member by the name of Jordan Brown was pleased to open up his box from the Studio Store to see an even more unique headcover inside.
In Jordan’s words: “This cover is just amazing and I am so excited to have it in my collection. I am a headcover nut, so I have a few special headcovers like the Vegas Circle L and a Taxi CT just to name a couple. But this one is definitely the centerpiece.”

Enjoy the headcover, Jordan. I’m glad you like it.
