Hand-delivering Putters

January 16th, 2008

It’s been a number of years since I’ve made the trek to Orlando for the annual PGA Merchandise Show. I’ve been busy at the Putter Studio making Garage & Graffiti putters, playing with new finishes, stamps, necks, bends, grinds, welds and more and I’m anxious to share some of my recent work.

So, I’ve decided to hand-deliver some of my newest creations to my friends the Butlers at the Table Rock Booth. I’ll be there around 1pm on Friday, so if you’re in the neighborhood, stop by and say hello. I’ve put together a little sneak preview here of some of the things I’m taking with me. Click on the picture below to take a look, and thanks for stopping by the Blog.

Scotty-san,

Thank you for update of the blog.

I am interested in all putters which you made.
I like the fifth piece curve of the neck very much in that.
And I am worried about seven pieces of 029-009 faces.

Scotty-san,Please teach “new finishes” to all fans.

I wait for a TCC member to update the picture of the new putters.
Please enjoy Orlando together!

Regards,

From Japan. TOMOHIRO

OH MY GOD!!
Gulp!
Hand made and hand delivered? WoW!!
I only hope that these creations end up in the proper hands to nurture and care for them the way you go about making them!
Would love to see some pics from the PGA Show and The Butlers Table Rock booth with the smiles that these will create by all TCC’ers around once they lay eyes on these!
Right On Scotty!!
Nice pics Jason!!

Hey Scotty, here’s the neatest (and most sincere) compliment you can get:

I was viewing your Garage photos, and my four year old daughter, Ruby, walks by and says, “that’s a cool putter daddy, did he make that?!” Yep, he sure did, I said. “How?” With his hands!

Just thought I’d concur with My Girl!

Thanks,
Jimmy James

Scotty:

The chromatic bronze finish is amazing. Will we be seeing more of it in future tour putters?

Have fun in Orlando:

Scotty,

All of your blogs are great to read. I am a new Cameronite having just purchased my first putter, a Newport Mid Slant Pro Platinum. Will you be at any PGA events throughout the year? I will be cheering on my favorite tour player Charley Hoffman at the Bridgestone Invitational and hope you are able to come see our beautiful course at Firestone. All the best!

Dear Scotty,
I just had to share my joy with you about my new garage that I was able to purchase at the show this year. I had almost lost hope of finding one at all until Jim pointed me in the direction and said I could pick from 3 that were left. I found the one that was ment for me I can assure you. I have just gotten engaged to a very beautiful Chinese woman and as I was looking at the putters, I saw the one you made with the red snow and the Scotty Cameron on the face up-side down, I knew at once I had found my putter. I know that Vog has named a few of his putters and this one got a name as soon as I got back to the room and talked to Doc. It is now called the Forbidden City putter. I had just returned from China the week before the show so all of the images of that country were still fresh in my mind and then to see the way you styled that putter was just to good to be true. You are the pinnacle of putter makers and you will always have my loyalty. Thanks again for allowing us to share in your work.

Hello, I just recently bought a Cameron putter. It’s a used Studio Stainless Newport 2.5. I have wanted one ever since I first starting playing golf. I was just curious how you go about buying a handmade, 009, or any of the rare ones I sometimes see on ebay and golfwrx.com. I am happy with my beat up Stainless, but I just want to know how people get to buy these beautiful putters? I know I am starting to save some money to try and find one. I bet they feel great on the greens. If anyone has any info about these please email me at cartermoney16@aol.com
