A Very Special Putter for Pebble Beach

September 24th, 2007

I believe in creating special putters for special places. Two years ago, I made a limited putter that was handcrafted exclusively for Pebble Beach. The response was overwhelming, and after that inaugural offering, I was honored to be asked to design another.

For this new design, I set out to create a putter as elegant and refined as Pebble Beach itself with a quantity limited to no more than 100 pieces. With its brilliant Black Pearl finish, elegant gold and white accents, a stepless chrome shaft, and a hand-stitched black leather grip, it’s what I like to call luxury performance. In keeping with its theme of unique elegance, you’ll find this putter only at Pebble Beach.

Click here if you’d like to take a look at this stunning putter.

*Special note: This putter is available only for walk-in purchases at the Pebble Beach Pro Shop. Phone or email sales will not be honored. If you’re interested, please visit Pebble Beach to take a look in person. Due to its limited quantity, only one putter per customer is available. The Circa ’62 VI is my all-time favorite putter headshape!!! After viewing the Pebble Beach putter slide show my love for the Circa ’62 VI only deepened! I can’t wait to see how sexy the Circa ’62 VI done up as the 2007 My Girl will be!!!

Hi Scotty,

Another beautiful creation.

Will there be a limited series within the 100 pieces like there was 2 years ago?

Best regards,
Ted

Not this time, Ted.
Thanks for checking in,

Hello Scotty-san,

Thank you for update of the blog.
I waited to enjoy update.

The putter looks like the very splendid finish.
Finish in particular!
A black pearl and painting of the gold.
I watched the picture of the putter.

This putter feels high toe than a production model.
Is it my imagination Scotty-san?

Is the head 350g?

Always thank you for splendid putters.

Regards,

TOMOHIRO

Hi Tomohiro,

The headweight on this model is 330g with the same shape and lines as the Circa No. 6. Thank you so much for your comments.

All the best,
Scotty

Scotty: It was definitely worth the wait for this edition of the Pebble Beach putter.

It’s gorgeous. It’s even better than you described to me in Japan in July.

I’ll be making a trip during the lunch hour tomorrow to Pebble…1 hour each way; but, definitely worth it!!!

The cover is very SWEET, by the way.

All the best,

Eddie Gomez

Hi Eddie,

We didn’t shoot one for this putter. More videos coming soon, though.

All the best,

Scotty,

Thanks for the slideshow of another tremendous creation. I have to say that the Black Pearl finish on this putter really enhances the beauty of the Pebble Beach limited. It seems that the Black Pearl finish is showing up more often lately (on this putter and on several 009s).

I saw a tour Napa with Black Pearl Mist last year and thought it was one of the most beautiful putters I have ever seen. Black Pearl Mist has become one of my favorite finishes on a putter due to the iridescent hues and the misting makes the putter very playable on sunny days.

Is there a chance that the Black Pearl finish will be offered on OTR putters or as a choice for restoration (on putters originally with this finish) in the future?

As usual, I appreciate you offering a peek into the Studio and the creations that is produced within those walls. How I would love to be a fly on the walls and spend a day at the Studio. It would be like a kid in a candy store. Again, thanks.

Best regards,

Sam

Hi Sam,

While I’ll hardly ever rule anything out, I don’t have any plans to offer Black Pearl as a production finish or as a restoration option at this time. Thanks for the comments and for checking in on the Blog.

All the best,
Scotty

“The gold standard” pretty much. Love the gold paint and hues in the finish. Represents Pebble very well.

Thank you for sharing. It keeps us “crazies”, well ,CRAZY!

Scotty,

Roadtrip to Pebble today in between court appearances for the purpose of “hunting” down the Pebble Beach putter.

I got the putter and brought it home with me.
The putter is absolutely stunning looking. The rainbow hues on the flangeline are magnificent.

This putter is more beautiful in person than in the blog pictures.!!!

All the best,

Eddie Gomez

Hi Scotty,

That Looks great, it’s ashame us guys in Europe won’t get a chance to get hold of one.

Any plans to do Special Editions for any course’s over the pond???

Regards

Rich

Scotty wrote on October 11, 2007 at 11:20 am

That’s an interesting thought, Rich. Currently, I don’t have any plans for a course in Europe. I’ll never rule it out, though. Thanks for checking in.

Best,
Scotty

Soo cool…the Black Pearl finish is absoutely stunning. I was fortunate in getting my hands on a Terrylium Ten 2.5 last week and was amazed at the finish…makes me question whether or not I should game it, but as you said Scotty, all of your models are meant to be gamers!

Take care,
Patrick

Scotty: when i purchased my P.B. putter they made me fill out a card with my info on it. i asked them what it was for and the gentlemen told me “it is to keep you informed of new Cameron putter’s.” i told him i was a member of the forum and that i was already informed. then he told me that there is going to be a drawing for the people who purchased the P.B. putter’s. and the winner will get to meet with you at P.B.
and get some putting tips and have you autograph there putter. i just want to know if this is true ( i really hope it is ) or did he just have the wrong information. thanks chris

Scotty wrote on October 25, 2007 at 5:22 pm

Hi Chris,

Something may have been lost in translation, but I’m not scheduled to be at Pebble Beach, nor do I know anything about a drawing. I am glad you got a putter, though! Thanks for checking in.

All the best,
Scotty

Hey Scotty,

A few ideas for courses in Europe that would be great to do special editions for.
Valderama, Ballybunion, Old Head of Kinsale. I got my Laguna pro platinum at Ballybunion and just thinking about a special edition makes my mouth water.

I just got back from Pebble Beach, and I’m proud to say I brought one of these beautiful creations back with me. Thanks for an absolute work of art. All my friends (even the ones who have Scotty’s of their own) are wicked jealous.

Scotty,

I just received my PB putter – thanks to a cousin who lives on the west coast!

Just wanted to thank you for creating such a beautiful piece. It has special significance to me, as my girlfriend Nancy and I celebrated our 50th birthdays at Pebble in July. Having “2007″ and PB engravings make it so special for both of us.

We both enjoyed meeting you at the convention – and I think Nancy is now your biggest fan…

Glad to hear the Cameron family is safe – you and all affected have been in our thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Rob Prentiss

Dear Scotty,

I am just curious. What type of paint do you use when painting the engraved surfaces of this beautiful putter?

Sincerely,
Arjun
