Scotty Cameron Putter Museum & Gallery Meeting – Japan
July 24th, 2007
Earlier this month I traveled to Hamamatsu Seaside Golf Club in Japan for the annual meeting of the Scotty Cameron Museum & Gallery (formerly the Scotty Cameron Fan Club of Japan). This event was put together by my good friend Mr. Fukuda, who is the driving force behind the
Scotty Cameron Putter Museum. You can read more about the Museum by clicking here.
Over the course of the three-day event, we had a persimmon wood and balata ball golf tournament, a Museum & Gallery golf tournament, and a series of get-togethers at Fukuda-San’s golf course. It was a great time to re-connect with old and new friends alike. A great time was truly had by all, and I thought you’d enjoy seeing some pictures from the event. These photos were sent to me by Mr. Fukuda, whose staff members were extremely gracious and kind during my stay.
Thanks for stopping by the Blog, and I hope you enjoy the slideshow.

Scotty: Thank you for posting Fukuda-san’s pictures that were taken at the Museum Event in Japan last month.
The photos bring back a rush of good memories of the sights that I saw and the wonderful people that I met at Hamamatsu.
I can’t wait to join you and Mr. Fukuda in Japan for the Museum Event next year.
Regards, Eddie Gomez
Simply fantastic!

Mr. Fukuda, your staff members, Scotty, your staff members, thank you for posting this amazing collection of well taken photos. It’s a delight to see the convention activities, the gorgeous golf course where the tournament took place and the superbly arranged exhibitions inside the stellar museum! I’m so impressed and highly anticipating visiting the Museum this October while in Japan! A perfect 10.
Thanks again!

Dear Cameron san and all the staff
Almost one month passed since that great time.
I have been dreaming during this one month.
I needed long time to awake from that splendid dream.
At last I begin to work as usual recently.
However, I turn back to the dreamworld as soon as I watched this blog.
What a scarlet blog!!!
I will be excited for a while again.
I really enjoyed all pics, especially the pics of the persimmon club.
Thank you very much for the splendid pics.
Sincerely
Mac suzuki

All I can say is WOW.
Looks like Patrick and I might have to attend two conventions next year!
Scotty, Mr.Fukuda, and the staff of Hamamatsu,
Thank you very much for everything over two great days.
Finally I got to the Museum, it really is a holy place for the Cameron collector. I enjoyed so many rare putters and found new friends there, golfing, talking and dining with Scotty and his fans.
Priceless !!

I bet it is nicer than the pictures show, but, will there ever be something like that here in the United States for those of us who will never be able to make it to Japan?
Mario-
Currently, there are no plans for a Cameron Museum in the United States but there is the annual International Collectors Convention in Ohio which is an event not to be missed!
Check out the blog entry on this years event: http://scottycameronblog.com/2007/06/19/scotty-cameron-international-collectors-convention/
PLaza Golf (2 locations in the LA area) and Tablerock Golf in Ohio, while they are not museums, have very nice displays that must be seen if you are in the area.
