Today @ The Putter Studio

June 6th, 2007

I’ve been really busy in the Putter Studio the past few days getting ready not only to head out to the U.S. Open next week, but also for the Scotty Cameron International Collectors Convention at Table Rock Golf Club in Ohio. This is a gathering of great guys who really have the passion for putters. I’m bringing a few garage putters, JATs, as well as some surprises.

As you can see in the slideshow, I’m working on a Cameron & Co. twisty, a Scoty Dale 029-009, and a Scoty Dale Carlsbad, CA 92009 fully stamped. Having fun as always. Just wanted to check in and let you know I’m still at it. Thanks for stopping by, and for all of your comments on the Blog. All the best!

I know all the guys and gals from TCC that will be at the Convention are looking forward to seeing all the “surprises” up close. Thanks for sharing all the newest creations with those of us who can’t make it to Ohio.

Best wishes for another Scotty win at Oakmont.

All I can say is WOW. Didn’t think it could get much better, but I was very wrong. Excited about next week for sure.

I can hardly wait for the Convention!!!! 7 days until my girlfriend Nikki and I arrive in Columbus! I look forward to meeting you Scotty and Hank plus all the other attendees.

I have my fingers crossed that you’re working on a Circa ’62 VI in 350G for the Convention. I’d take two in a heartbeat!

My putter should be there by today for a restoration. I don’t mind if it is delayed due to the Open :-) I will be at the US Open sporting my Scotty gear. Four of us have been doing the Open trek every year since Pinehurst in 99

I love all of the putter designs that you have. I have (4) Cameron putters. My favorite is my Pro Platinum. I gave it to my 7 month old son (named Cameron Scot) because it has CAMERON stamped on the face. How does the public get a scotty dog key chain?

Camico Twisty Beached.with Bulldog……awesome
Scoty Dale Beached with full facial stampings..very sweet
Scott Dale with full cavity stamps…one of a kind.

I can’t wait to see what you bring to the Museum event in Japan!!

Hello Scoty-san!

An earnest look to twist the neck, a face of a putter craftsman is right splendid.

I feel the collector who can come across this splendid putter in Table Rock Golf Club enviable.

I like a back figure (a photograph) of scoty dale 009 JAT.

I look forward to meeting in Hamamatsu.
Safe travels.

I had a question about the Twisty camerons you have made. It is obvious that they are a work of art, but can they actually be used in competition? I wonder because I suppose it could perhaps interfere with the “plain in shape” rule which I guess is mainly for heads, and technically this is a hosel issue. Anyway, they look absolutely fantastic, and I hope that one day one of your great contests puts a work of art like that up for consideration. It would be the centerpiece of any cameron collection.
All the best,
George

Thanks Scotty!!

For the continuing look inside the world of the best putters & puttermaker ever!! I will never stroke another putter again as long as there are Cameron’s around to be played. Thank you Scotty for everything that you have brought and continue to bring to the game!

I love the twisty neck. Especially that it was stamped before it was twisted. That’s so … twisted :-p

Scotty told a story of how he went to studio everyday at around 4am and staying till 9 or 10pm each night just to finish the putters for the convention.

I think I can speak on behalf of all Cameron enthuasists when I say “THANK YOU for all your hard work!”

Pete wrote on June 18, 2007 at 8:51 pm

Ah, nothing like seeing the Master at work and have the look of pride in his face! If I may borrow a line from the “Highlander” movie: “There can only be one…”

Scotty, thanks for making that Carlsbad 92009. It will look incredible next to Miss Lena Way Back….the best two 009′s you’ve ever made, as far as I am concerned. I just love what you’re doing on your new putters….keep creating!

Hi Scotty,

How do people get their hands on the garage beauties that you work on in the studio?

I would love one! It would take a place in my house where everyone could see my pride and joy !

Keep up the garage putters!
