Welcome

May 17th, 2007

Welcome to the Scotty Cameron Blog! With the community of putter aficionados growing and the discussions going in so many different directions, I thought I’d set this blog up to keep you even more updated as to what I’m working on.

In addition to our Scotty on Tour coverage, videos, and features on ScottyCameron.com, I’ll be adding photos and other fun tidbits to the blog from inside the Putter Studio and from on Tour. It’s all part of my mission to bring you into the world of Scotty Cameron putters.

Thanks for your interest, loyalty and support. I look forward to getting in on the discussions here on the blog. Enjoy!

Scotty, thank you for helping out personally with the two Cameron for kids project putters. A very classy act of generosity.

I’ve enjoyed the “hunt” for Cameron items. Looking forward to the next quest.

it is great to see that you were able to donate your services to this cause. The guys that are so involved with this topic deserve great accolades for their work, nothing better than people going out of their way to share the wealth that they have been fortunate to recieve. The same goes for you Scotty, great work by all.

Teddy and Harley are lucky young men. Thanks sincerely for doing that for them. The Cameron community will continue to grow because of things like this.

Scotty, It is obvious that you live by the motto “Treat others as you would like to be treated.” That is always a recipe for success and it shows. All the best, Brian

Glad to see your blogging. I like the non-golf aspect of what you are doing so far. Please keep it up as it will make your pure golf analysis and comments even more meaningful. I’ve added your blog to my blogroll, and I’ll have you in as part of my blog feeds as well.

I would also like to commemorate Scotty on his many acts of kindness! I was a recipient of one of those acts. A short story about Scotty’s generocity… I sent an e-mail regarding my wife and her stealing my Scotty Cameron putter (Newport Midslant). So I wanted to have a putter made for my her with my daughter’s name on it (She passed away last year after only three short days on earth of a severe heart defect). I wasn’t sure if he would even get the e-mail. Lw and behold, I received a reply e-mail in which he sent his condolences and asked for my home address. A week and a half later a putter showed up on my door step with my daughters name (Molly Margaret Regan) stamped in the tow. I am to afraid to use it so I had a display case made for it which we have hung in her nursery. Thanks again Scotty for the amazing gift. I look forward to meeting you at the Collectors convention in a few weeks. Pat Regan

What a touching story! I too offer my condolences as well. What a wonderful thing you will have to remember by. Golf is so much more than the game iteslf.

Mr. Cameron:

As a member of the TCC, I was truly moved by the outpouring of generosity not just from the TCC members but also from you personally and the members of your staff regarding the projects for Harley and Teddy. I can’t wait until these youngsters receive their new clubs and get the feedback as to what their reaction is upon receiving them.

Scotty, keep up the good work.. You and your staff are to be commended for your support.

The blog is a great way to stay in touch with the passionistas of the “Club.” Ever since I have become part of Club Cameron I have been amazed at how each and every expectation is surpassed. Custom Shop, fabulous! Items for sale on the web site, superb! Quality and craftsmanship, second to none! You have definately set the bar for how loyalty programs should be established, nutured and managed. My hat (’07 Club Cameron Member version) is off to you sir. I’ll be spending even more time “visiting” and seeing what’s up with you and the shop.

Rock on with the passion.

P.S. Please add Carolina Blue (unofficially of course!) to the Custom Shop assortment of grips, headcovers, shaft bands and stuff. That color was sweet on Chevy’s and Ford’s back in the day, so it’s a way for we Tar Heel fans to “back into” a color combo to support our team passion.

Did everyone see Frank Beard of ZZ Top wearing a Scotty Cameron shirt during VH-1 Honors? That was nice to see. He’s one of us.

I too am excited by being able to go ” behind the scenes” if you will. I have become hooked by Scotty and his impressive creations. I am a huge bullseye fan and saw on one of the vidoes a glimpse of a bullseye. Is there a new one coming out soon?

If you keep this up there may be a need to have a support group for “addicts”!
